I worked in Admin for my whole career, and I love it. I mean, I have a passion for being organised.
I love helping other people be organised, and making their lives easier. In my role at J.P.Morgan Chase, I was a Senior Executive Assistant at the top of my game, and I was bossing it. But one day, I decided that it just wasn’t enough. I wanted to be able to help more people in their own lives. So I took the plunge and left the City!
I don’t stop hearing people say ‘I just don’t have time’ So I thought, what if I could help normal people in their everyday lives to stay on top of these things. A Life PA if you will, and someone to help get your house to work for you. My brain went into overdrive thinking of how much I could do for so many other people… I didn’t stop making notes, phoning my family and friends to hash out ideas, and then I thought, ‘Let’s do it’.
I bought a domain and started to design and create my own Website. I’m not techy AT ALL, but honestly, I followed tutorials, I used Google (A LOT), I shouted and swore at my laptop (A LOT), but all of a sudden, I’d done something that I’d never done before. I had my own Website!!! I felt like Mark Zuckerberg!!! (I wish I had his patience… and money)
My dream expanded by the day, and is still developing, but I was now ready to go out there and take on the chaotic world and bring calm into people’s homes.
So here is what I do…
Celebrities have Life PA’s… so why not you? Someone to sit down with you once a month and go through all of the jobs that you’ve been putting off. Looking for a better deal on your car insurance, finding time in your diary to book in that all important doctor’s appointment, setting up Standing Orders, batch ordering next month’s birthday cards on #Moonpig.com and doing your paperwork for you. Filing everything away so it’s easy for you to find. Basically, someone to help you focus for an hour or 2 a month, delegate jobs out that you know that you’re not going to get round to doing, and bringing Calm into your busy life!
Not only do I love doing all of the jobs that you probably don’t like doing, I LOVE tidying, and I when I say tidying, I mean making everything in the house accessible and neat. Decluttering!!! That word has become a rather trendy lately hasn’t it? But honestly, do you have the time to declutter your whole home? And if you do, are you likely to stay on top of it? Will your family stay on top of it? Statistics show that if you pay for a service, you’ll get more out of it and are likely to appreciate it more… therefore keeping on top of it.
I get excited by storage solutions and organisation.. Yes, I am a geek…but I’m a tidy and organised geek! And I want to bring this exciting energy to your house. Introduce life changing hacks to your cupboards and drawers and free up your time for the fun stuff in life.
